Aaron Peltz is the first therapist I have seen since my onset of Guillan Barre Syndrome (GBS) who knows just how to treat me. In the 4 years and 4 months since my onset of GBS (where I became paralyzed from the neck down) I have seen 22 other therapists, and without a doubt, Dr. Peltz, has been the only one who understands my condition, my needs, and how to assist me. For the first time, I really feel that I can recover.

On another issue, I had been complaining about a pain in my left hip for about 2-and-a-half years that made it so I could not stand longer than 15 minutes without excruciating pain. Over time, I saw my primary doctor, a doctor of physical medicine, a neurologist, and multiple physical therapists, but no one could help me with this problem. Doctors gave me pain pills which I took on and off for 2.5 years. I actually gave up and stopped seeking help to solve this problem. Dr. Peltz evaluated this pain and had me do certain muscle stretching exercises and it worked. I am now pain free for the first time in 2.5 years. No pain pills!

I have known Dr. Peltz for several years, both as a patient and as a psychotherapist referring patients to him. Not only did my patients improve with his treatments, they also spoke highly of his warm and caring manner as he helped them reach their mutual goals.

I would also like to give you my personal impression of him. I had two severe arthritic conditions which were producing acute, disabling bouts of pain. Having been to several doctors and tried many treatments, I was skeptical about the worth of Physical Therapy for me. Aaron understood this and tailored all the treatments to my capacity, while at the same time encouraging me to attempt further goals. His supportive approach enabled me to go on working when I felt almost hopeless.

Certainly, I still have arthritis, but I am attempting activities I thought I would never do again - including walking at a near normal rate. I can't say that Physical Therapy is fun, but working with a man like Aaron gave me a sense of purpose and achievement.

You could say my finding Dr. Peltz was a "great stroke of luck", but that wouldn't be accurate.

"Luck" had little to do with it.

After injuring my back, I searched the internet exhaustively for a well qualified physical therapist. (Hey it was my BACK I was dealing with, not a hangnail!) I wasn't going to settle for just anyone. After seeing Dr. Peltz's substantial credentials and noting evidence of his dedication to further education and up-to-date training, I chose him. It's a choice I'm very glad I made.

Dr. Peltz's knowledge was immediately obvious and he answered every question I had in easily understood language (I'm no scientist). His diagnostic technique was thoughtful and thorough. He put me on a conscientious course of treatment that showed immediate results and was very encouraging all the while.

I guess where my "luck" came in was with Dr. Peltz's listening skills. For, while it was a short list of physical therapists that shared his scholastic credentials, I know from experience that it was a much shorter list still who shared Dr. Peltz's ability to listen to what I had to say. To me, this is the truest test of any great clinician; their skill at really hearing what the patient is telling them. It seems obvious but is, sadly, the exception not the rule.

I can give Dr. Aaron Peltz my full-hearted recommendation.
